![]() I have written a simple demonstration that connects to a database (whether it's a local file via SQlite or a server via MySQL), creates two new tables, populates the tables with data, then does a left join. Using Polymorphism in Python, and with a careful choice of which database connector you use, you should be able to write code that is easily ported. but then you may want to be able to expand the system to use a central database with a more classic server such as MySQL at a later date. If you proceed, we will take that as your consent to accept cookiesįor developing a Python application, and for light use, the SQLite database may be a good choice. This site uses cookies - see for details.I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here)) We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active! Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk. We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. ![]() For 2023 - we are now fully retired from IT training.
